As you well know, 2013 is conventionally considered the 50th of videoart. Was in 1963 that Nam June Paik expose his first videoinstallation, in Germany.
To celebrate this event, Magmart Festival launch a new project: 100x100=900. 100 videoartists are be called to be part of project, realizing a video around one year of past century.
The artists are selected within the winners of previous editions of Magmart Festival, to assure the gross quality of project. The selection is done with the goal of include artists by five continents.
All these videos, will found a relevant corpus, a remarkable narration of this dense present perfect.
The project will start its exhibition stage in 2013, with a screening in Naples (Italy) in the course of Universal Forum of Cultures. After, we want take the project around the world, the must widely possible.
We are looking for partners, to bring the project around the world.
At partner, we ask to organize at least one full screening of the 100 videos, in their country. The look of any event must match the general guidelines of project. The name of partener organization will be listed as partner of project, au pair like all others, and the logos will be showed every where the project will arrive.
Any partner is free to find local sponsors for the project, and keep the contribution for the organization of local event; local sponsors will be listed and showed worldwide.
When the partners list will be closed, we’ll contact single curator to organize show in uncovered countries and – in case – in the same country of a partner but on different locations (always with the agreement of partner).
If you like to contribute at the project, we are at yours disposal to provide more exhaustive and/or detailed informations.

#TAG use a vacant space to create a temporary exhibition gallery, located along the main road of the village, where the place can become new creative impulse. Curators and artists create exposure and site-specific installations to turn new light.

500X GALLERY

500X Gallery is Texas' oldest, artist run, cooperative gallery. Established in 1978, 500X provides one of the best exhibition spaces to up-and-coming artists in the city of Dallas. The gallery is located in a historic circa 1916 tire factory and air-conditioning warehouse and has over 3000 square feet of exhibition space. The plan for 500X Gallery was developed by two artists: Will Hipps, a Massachusetts native who moved to Dallas to teach, and Richard Childers, a local painter. REGIONAL MUSEUM OF HISTORY OF COLIMA (curator: Miguel Angel Sanchez Romero)

The Regional Museum of History of Colima is located in the city center, in an old nineteenth century colonial mansion located in the Portal Morelos and Reforma street.
It is part of the architectural heritage of the city and is one of the museums frequented by many tourists throughout the year.
In his 14 rooms (6 archeology, 8 history) provides an overview of regional history from pre-hispanic times to the post-revolutionary times.
One of the most interesting examples is the full-scale reproduction of a tumba de tiro that exemplifies the pre-hispanic burial system practiced in the region.

Founded in 2010, Seed Space is a lab for site-specific installation, sculpture, video, sound and performance-based art in Nashville, Tennessee. We support our program in three specific ways. We bring in nationally recognized art critics to write our exhibition essays. We host regularly scheduled public talks. We facilitate meetings among artists, critics and curators. Through these means we aim to foster an exchange between a growing network of local and national artistic communities, which we believe is one of the best ways to support the careers of emerging artists.

VIDEOPLAY (curator: Silvio Javier De Gracia)

Videoplay is an Argentina-based international platform for the dissemination of videoart over the world. This is an initiative started in 2004 by the visual artist and curator Silvio De Gracia, who is an artist-run with an extensive experience of organization and curating international festivals and events in videoart. Currently, Videoplay is focusing especially on the gender of the videoperformance and other works which, though not clearly framed within the category of art-action, reflect a deep anchorage in the performatic sphere.
