I am an animation filmmaker whose interests have always been multidisciplinary. With degrees in both anthropology and animation and a minor in computer science, I have enjoyed an extensive career as a software developer. As a programmer, I have contributed to innovative products that featured real-time animation for live-broadcast, special effects and editing for the motion picture industry. Currently I teach in the animation program at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montreal. In my research I enjoy experimenting with high and low technology of all kinds.
My interest in animation is the combination of technical challenge and artistic expression. I want to explore processes and looks that go beyond the common perception of animation as a drawn narrative.
