IN HER INTERDISCIPLINARY BODY OF WORK, URSZULA USES A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT MEDIA - PHOTOGRAPHY, DESIGN, VIDEO, PERFORMANCE - AS A TOOL TO PROBLEMATIZE. HOWEVER, SHE DOESN'T ACCEPT NEITHER THE TITLE OF A PHOTOGRAPHER OR A DESIGNER NOR THOSE OF A VIDEO ARTIST OR A PERFORMER.
THE POWER OF AN IMAGE AND THE SEVERAL MEANINGS HIDDEN BEHIND IT ARE OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO THE ARTIST WHO RECOGNIZES THE ROLE OF NEW MEDIA IN HER ARTISTIC PRACTICE.
HER PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AS A “LATE” CHILD OF AGEING PARENTS IS FOR URSZULA A PRETEXT FOR BRINGING UP THEMES OF TRANSITION AND DECAY. SHE REVERES THE "HERE AND NOW" BY EXPLORING THE INTIMATE DIMENSION OF THE ORDINARY AND THE EVERYDAY.
URSZULA STRUGGLES WITH HER OWN ASPIRATION TO UNDERSTAND AND EVEN STOP THE MOMENT, WITH A SIMULTANEOUS AWARENESS OF THE PASSAGE OF TIME. THIS IS PROBABLY DUE TO THE VERY HUMAN FEAR OF LOSING THE LOVED ONES, SEEN AS THE FINAL SEPARATION, OF LOSING ONESELF. THE FEAR OF OBLIVION, OF AN UNRELIABLE MEMORY, WHOSE IMAGES CHANGE AND EVOLVE TOGETHER WITH ITS OWNER, BECOMES THE DRIVING WHEEL OF HER ARTISTIC PRACTICE.
THE SENSUALITY FOUND IN URSZULA'S WORKS STEMS FROM TREATING EROTICISM AS A CONDITION OF EXISTENCE. HER CHARACTERS EVOLVE BEYOND SPACE AND TIME BECOMING THE ARCHETYPE FOR A MOTHER, A PARTNER, A LOVER, A DAUGHTER, A FEMALE, A BRAVE NEO-WOMAN, WHO STRUGGLES WITH TIME AND WITH SOCIETY.
URSZULA HAS PARTICIPATED IN SEVERAL EXHIBITIONS, SUCH AS "KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE" AT GALERIA SZARA (CIESZYN, 2013), "I AM LOVE" AT MOCAK (KRAKÓW, 2012) AS PART OF THE PROJECT CURATORS NETWORK, ETC.URSZULA KLUZ - KNOPEK HAS A DEGREE IN PHOTOGRAPHY FROM THE ACADEMY OF ARTS IN POZNAN. SHE IS NOW ON A PH.D STUDY IN THE ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS IN KRAKÓW
