BIO Kevin Evensen is a multi-disciplinary digital video artist based in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1993 he received his M.F.A from Northern Illinois University. Since then his artwork has incorporated various aspects of digital video and sound into projections or installations, while maintaining a focus on the conceptual aspects of defining extended moments in time.
He has participated in world wide solo and group exhibitions and his work is included in museum, public and private collections throughout the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

STATEMENT Plato referred to time as "the moving image of this changeless eternity."
My digital video projections and sound installations define extended moments in time,
giving evidence of change as it appears in both linear and non-linear sequences.
Looking at any particular moment out of context, we find that time may stand still,
but also has the inherent ability to continue on in a variety of directions.
This altered perception gives us the opportunity to see time as a multi-dimensional
representation of an ever changing eternity.
A timelessness that surrounds us completely and all at once fills us with the enormity of its scope.
